Hello friends!

As we enter into the third week of our F.A.S.T., we continue to remember the community in which God has placed Redeemer. So we are very excited to announce We CAN do it… Again!: Redeemer's Easter Food Drive!

This month, every time you go to the Church Office, we ask that you bring some non-perishable food items to donate. We will also have a collection box made available every Sunday if you don't go to the Church Office often.

We are looking to collect 250 cans by March 31.

Suggested Giving Items

Please consider giving non-perishable foods that are healthy and wholesome, ones that you would enjoy eating at home. Below is a list of suggested items, though you are not limited to just these items:
  • Grains — rice (white and brown), quinoa, pasta
  • Canned fish and meat — salmon, tuna, sardines, corned beef, chicken and other non-pork products
  • Canned or dried beans — chickpeas, kidney beans, lentils
  • Cooking oil — canola oil, olive oil
  • Canned fruit — peaches, pears, pineapple (packed in juice and water instead of syrup)
  • Canned vegetables — corn, green beans, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, water chestnuts, cabbage, sweet potato
  • Fruit juice — 100% fruit juice
  • Cereals — high fibre, whole grain or multi-grain cereals, oatmeal
  • Healthy snacks and spreads — peanut butter, almond butter; unsalted nuts, low fat popcorn, low fat granola bars or cereal bars, crackers, cookies (Arrowroot, digestive, oatmeal)
  • Baby products — formula, infant cereals, baby food; canned or powdered milk

To ensure food safety, we are unable to accept:
  • rusty, dented, or unlabelled cans
  • perishable items
  • homemade items
  • alcoholic beverages
  • open or used items
  • items past or close to the expiry date

Blessings!
