Let’s engage in Scripture this year through Scripture Writing!
What is it? Literally to copy verses from the Bible, in whatever version you prefer. What is the benefit? The aim is to help digest and remember Scripture. The act of writing slows us down and helps us to reflect on the verses we are copying. It is also a kinetic way of engaging with the Word – the more different modes of learning and parts of our body we are engaging, the more we are likely to remember it! How can I join in? We will be following a different plan each month, and it will be posted to this page. These plans were created and generously shared by Swtblessings.com. (Thank you!!) Every day, there is a short passage assigned for you to write out. Choose whichever version/language of the Bible you’d like and copy it down by hand in a notebook/tablet device/other media. If you’d like to stay connected with others in our community who are following the plan together for shared reflections, encouragement and accountability, leave us a message and we will follow up with you!
Community Reading - Quarter 4Our community is reading through the New Testament reading plan - Quarter 4!
The plan can be accessed here (Thank you LCBC church for sharing!): Q4 Outline The guidelines are: 1. Download the Youversion App (Android/iOS) or follow along on the web. The plan leads us to read 1 chapter a day from Mondays to Fridays. Saturday is a catch-up day, and then Sunday mornings we have a group discussion session on the past week's readings. 2. Find an accountability partner, and connect at least once a week (either in person/online/phone, etc) regarding the readings. 3. Feel free to journal or use any other activity to help you reflect and digest your readings. Remember the point is to grow in our appetite for God's word and to grow closer to Him. 4. If you'd like to share reflections, inspiration, encouragements, feel free to do so in our group Whatsapp chat (even if you weren't assigned that day! :)) Daily New Testament - Quarter 3Our community is reading through the New Testament reading plan - Quarter 3!
