For our leaders who work over at City Hall
I pray for wisdom to deal with issues big and small.
For the teachers who are given a controversial health curriculum,
May they discern how to teach it in a way that is wholesome.

In publicized events we often grief.
The voice of the innocent, the broken are not heard.
Let us remember - though our attention brief,
That yes God loves us, it is undeterred.
